Manager FP&A

Growing, privately-held Engineering and Manufacturing firm, serving Aerospace, Military, Defense and Telecom industries, has an immediate need for an Analyst experienced in government contracting.

This critical role requires an exceptionally talented financial / accounting manager with a strong understanding of cost accounting, costing systems and processes, inventory controls, and the ability to develop and implement efficient pricing processes and analytics. Additionally, this role will lead the preparation of the annual budget process.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Direct, lead and manage the full scope of the company financial planning and analysis function
• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process.
• Assist with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements.
• Drive consistency and efficiency in inventory controls / accounting processes across multiple locations.
• Accurate alignment of standard costs with actual cost.
• Business support for supply chain and manufacturing organizations.
• Develop and implement a robust internal controls process for inventory / cost across all company locations.
• Partner with supply chain and manufacturing organization to ensure the company’s inventory balances are materially correct.
• Ensure alignment and integration of accurate cost data into the pricing process.
• Ensures compliance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Preparation of cost packages for pricing proposals in compliance with government contracting accounting (FAR, CAS, TINA).
• Primary contact and liaison with all FAR related auditors (DCAA, DCMA, etc…)
• Partners with the CFO to provide proactive financial leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to work with a diverse team, and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
• Coordination and integration of all cost/inventory accounting and finance related I/T systems.

Requirements include:

• 15+ years of relevant experience including cost accounting.
• Successful track record of cost accounting and analytics.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• CPA and employment in a public accounting firm a plus.
• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
• Must be able to thrive in a multi-location, international environment.
• Successful track record of managing and leading a finance team.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong analytical and communication skills a must.
• Some travel required.
