Chief Financial Officer

Large non-profit organization is seeking Chief Financial Officer to work cross functionally across departments in the high-visibility role.

The CFO will be responsible for directing and coordinating all the financial affairs of the organization and subsidiaries, establishing major economic objectives and policies for the organization, and overseeing the long-term financial planning and investment management functions.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Develop the organization’s overall financial strategy including accounting, budgeting, grants management, cash management and investments, audit, compliance, risk management and reporting.
• Advice Cabinet Members to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Direct and oversee the programs’ development, real estate development and procurement functions in consultation with other departments.
• Carry out contracts with funders and vendors.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting and grant recipient compliance.
• Oversee and negotiate on all employee fringe benefits, retirement plan, and organization insurances in consultation with other departments; ensure compliance with applicable rules regarding such benefits and plans.
• Oversee the long-term financial planning and investment management functions of the organization in consultation with the CEO and Board.
• Oversee the Enterprise Workforce and Childcare operations/development.
• Directly manage and develop staff to handle all matters and issues listed above in a successful and compliance focused matter.
• Assist with development and administration of revenue generation activities, including fundraising, business development for non-profit, for-profit, and grants applications.

The proper candidate must be bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English.

This role requires at least 15 years of direct experience in financial leadership roles and an active CPA license.
