Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities Include:

• Create financial pricing models for new potential customer RFP’s (request for proposals) and for re-rating of existing customer agreements.
• Act as the finance lead and works with multiple sources to efficiently pull together accurate RFPs for transportation and distribution customers.
• Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Assist in the monthly close process.
• Track financial and operating status by monitoring variances from plan.
• Identify trends and developments within the operation and various profit/cost centers and recommend improvements.
• Perform weekly financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
• Able to handle P&L and income statements for multiple facilities.
• Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports, plan and forecast for internal and external constituents.
• Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
• Collaborate with operational leadership to analyze, prepare and present the annual financial plan and capital budget.
• Evaluate complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
• Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
• Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MAS 500 Accounting software experience (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Access and MS Word software).
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Experience in distributions/logistics preferred but not required.
