Senior Global Revenue Manager

Saas (Software as a Service) company, with outstanding culture and a great team, has an immediate need for a Global Revenue Manager.

This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining, enforcing, analyzing and interpreting the Company’s global revenue recognition policies, procedures and reporting.

The Revenue Manager will perform monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue including data validation and analysis, reconciliation review, and report preparation for senior management, as well as being the senior leader to the billing team.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Manage monthly global revenue close including reviewing professional services revenue, recurring revenue, new subscription revenue, deferred revenue, commissions expense and commissions deferral.
• Perform detailed review and provide commentary on month-over-month fluctuations and normalized revenue analysis.
• Mentor and manage one senior revenue accountant.
• Directly responsible for transitioning to ASC 606 including revamping team responsibilities to drive greater operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Review new order bookings, renewals and cloud uplifts for proper revenue recognition and document unique arrangements with nonstandard revenue recognition.
• Oversee billing manager and billing specialists responsible for customer order entry, customer invoicing and creation of revenue arrangement schedules.
• Communicate with and provide audit support to external auditors.
• Partner with FP&A to research and understand unexpected revenue and commissions variances against forecast.
• Create a scalable order-to-cash process by partnering cross functionally with Sales Operations, Business Applications and Treasury.
• Maintain and enforce the Company’s revenue recognition policy for software license, maintenance, and service contracts.
• Review monthly commissions calculation and deferral ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Proactively formulate alternative deal structuring for changing revenue recognition and business operations.

Requirements include:

• 5 – 7 years’ SaaS revenue accounting experience.
• 5+ years’ in a billing supervisory and employee management role.
• Direct working knowledge and implementation design of ASC 606.
• Strong application of US GAAP and experience applying technical SaaS guidance.
• Acquisition/purchase accounting experience a plus.
• Experience with multi-company and multi-location environment.
• Experience with NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, and Salesforce a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
