Shared Services Accountant

Our client is a cutting edge, personalized healthcare company enabling improved patient outcomes and more effective treatment decisions for critical illnesses. Their unique systems-based approach to personalized healthcare integrates novel diagnostics with large-scale, biometrics to track patient outcomes and deliver precision medicine.

The company is continuing to build their shared services department and is looking to add an Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and summarizing general ledger activity by cost center/business unit.
• Update monthly and/or quarterly shared services models to allocate costs to affiliates and functional groups.
• Prepare billings to affiliated companies on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Ensure that billings to affiliates are settled on a timely basis.
• Prepare reconciliations, including bank accounts and intercompany accounts for shared services allocations/settlements and cash management.
• Maintain and manage shared service agreements.
• Create analytical tools, reports, and complex models that utilize a variety of data sources.
• Assist in preparation of audit support documentation.
• internal controls and identification of opportunities for efficiencies.
• Provide analytical support and communicate findings to management on operating expenses, trends, metrics, and fluctuation analysis.
• Perform special projects and/or other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements include:

• 3 – 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel – incl. Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPS.
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP.
• Shared Service Experience a plus.
• Dynamics AX (or other large ERP) experience a plus.
• Large company or healthcare-related company experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to take on ad-hoc projects and complete them timely and accurately
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.

A CPA is highly preferred for this role.
