Senior Technical Accountant

Their unique systems-based approach to personalized healthcare integrates novel diagnostics with large-scale, biometrics to track patient outcomes and deliver precision medicine.

The Senior Technical Accountant is a cross-functional role that will be involved with a variety of special projects. This is a fast-paced and fluid environment, open due to growth at the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Compile reports for independent auditor reviews and audits of quarterly and annual SEC financial reports.
• Provide support for domestic and international tax filings and other statutory audits and provide support to internal auditors.
• Prepare supporting analysis of significant estimates and assess reasonableness of assumptions used in estimates and other complex GAAP transactions.
• Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and ensure that financial statements are in accordance with GAAP.
• Interface with other departments and business units to obtain information required for accounting analysis.
• Prepare trending analysis and other analytics for financial monitoring and accounting analysis.
• Assist in the design and documentation of SOX processes and procedures in the monitoring of internal control over financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, gain efficiencies, and continued improvements in the utility of the accounting systems.
• Assist senior accounting department management with various special projects and ad hoc analysis on significant business transactions, accounting system implementations, and process improvement projects, as needed.

Requirements include:

• 4 – 5 years of progressive public accounting experience, or public financial reporting experience.
• Experience and strong technical understanding of US GAAP and financial statement review.
• Familiarity with general accounting processes and internal controls, account analysis.
• Strong Microsoft office and spreadsheet skills, and aptitude for information technology.
• Good verbal and written communication ability.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Customer service driven with a focus on internal and external client service
• Self-motivated and team oriented; ability to work independently and within a goal-oriented team.
