Director / Senior Manager of Revenue

Electronics company, producing audio communications equipment for communications, mobile use, gaming and music, is seeking a motivated Revenue Director to manage the accounting, business, and system processes.

This role will have significant responsibility for supporting the FP&A team on analyzing and reporting revenue for the company.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for month-end and quarter-end close activities including deferral and recognition of cost of revenue and monthly management reporting packages.
• Ensure approved revenue policies are carefully adhered to and monitored, and to support quarterly/annual audits.
• Maintain, design, and implement controls; conduct accounting and systems process reviews with external auditors and internal auditors.
• Assist with revenue forecast, modeling and process improvement.
• Partner with other departments to streamline processes related to revenue and cost recognition. Work closely with IT development team to improve system processes and reporting outputs.
• Work directly with our external audit team and internal audit team to support the external audit, by providing supporting audit schedules, evidence, and process overview.
• Assist in operational planning associated with new product offerings. Be strategic; help design system enhancements, process changes, and other improvements to achieve scalability and to support new business initiatives.
• Lead the team in providing business requirements, performing process validation, user acceptance testing and data migration for new system implementations or modifications.
• Help build and develop the revenue accounting team and mentor, educate, and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team.

Requirement include:

• 10+ years professional experience including 3+ years’ in industry and at least 4 years of managerial experience.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 340 with the ability/willingness to stay current on related developing issues.
• Experience auditing, implementing or operating in a SOX effective environment.
• Month-end close experience on Oracle.
• Experience in Multiple Element Arrangements preferred.
• Proven ability to understand and design complex financial systems and draft business requirements for automation projects
• Detail-oriented, organized, proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams and work with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of and basic ability to read and write SQL a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data.

A CPA certification is preferred for this role.
