Light manufacturing company, poised for significant growth, has an immediate need for a Controller.

The Controller will report to the CFO and interface with key stakeholders throughout the organization. They will oversee, manage and prepare monthly equity reporting and be involved in acquisition due diligence and integration. In addition, they will also be responsible for best practices process improvements and oversight of cost and inventory function for three locations.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Support financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures; protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
• Achieve budget objectives by monitoring expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Provide status of financial condition by interpreting and reporting financial data.
• Issue timely and complete financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate reports.
• Oversight of A/P, A/R, Collections and cash management.
• Provide for a system of management cost reports.
• Direct all the activities of the cost accounting function; develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers; review profitability of individual product lines.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization and labor operations to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements include:

• 10 – 20 years’ relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a controller or assistant controller (from a larger organization).
• CPA, Big Four or National firm experience.
• Manufacturing/inventory experience required.
