Senior Auditor

One of the world’s premiere service / travel companies is currently searching for a highly motivated Senior Audit Consultant who will support the Risk Advisory and Assurance Services team in providing independent and objective assurance to the Audit Committee and senior management.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in multiple industries including travel, hospitality, retail, food and beverage, gaming and entertainment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess the design of internal controls through walkthroughs and best practice comparisons with other operating companies.
• Perform independent testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Report on testing progress and status, including milestone tracking.
• Identify deficiencies, issues and opportunities to enhance the control environment.
• Follow up and report on the implementation status of management’s action plans.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, including ensuring consistency and completeness of workpaper documentation and compliance.
• Execute independent reviews and evaluations of operations and activities, in accordance with the audit plan.
• Provide guidance to management on risks and controls and acts as an ambassador to promote a sound financial control environment.
• Undertake relevant training, networking, and studies as required to ensure continuing professional development.

Requirements include:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in auditing, ideally in a “Big Four” accounting firm.
• Experience in both external and internal audits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A high level of professionalism / independence / confidentiality is a pre-requisite for the role.
• Strong organizational skills are required, with an ability to meet deadlines to multi-task.
• Effective communication skills are required to interface well with management.
• Personal initiative, resourcefulness, and professional enthusiasm are important skills for success.
• Must be dedicated, have excellent service-ethic, and ability to work as an effective team member.

Both domestic and international travel may be required for up to 10% – 20% of the time.

A CPA or CIA is preferred for this role.
