Accounting Manager

Global market-information services company, providing analytics, advisory and consulting services, needs an Accounting Manager to be responsible for the development and maintenance of the internal control environment as well as supporting the corporate accounting department with month end close process, payroll, accounts payable and accruals, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and general ledger. We are looking for someone who is a team player and thrives in a fast paced, roll up your sleeves office environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with month-end close activities for the corporate accounting department- including payroll, accounts payable and accruals, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and general ledger.
• Establish and maintain corporate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure in conformance with US GAAP, IFRS and other laws/regulations.
• Performing risks identification / mitigation / control rationalization strategies.
• Assuring that segregation of duties models and key internal controls are properly defined and effective in all locations.
• Coordinating of required internal control documentation and maintenance.
• Advising on internal control design, integration, and implementation.
• Evaluating internal control remediation plans (actions, timelines, and progress).
• Coordinating and participating in audit planning for all internal and external audit activities.
• Assuring statutory audits are conducted in a timely manner for locations requiring such audits.
• Performing other duties or tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years’ total experience including at least 2 years’ of public accounting (preferably with a Big 4).
• Previous experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
• Experience using ERP platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)
• Preferred proficiency with Coupa, Concur and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and effect change.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational and project management skills.

A CPA either active or non-active, is required for this role.
